Bike Ribbon website had been produced in 2003 and a re-design of the site was required. The look of the site was to be professional with a focus on showcasing their products.
The site was designed with the sole purpose of showcasing the products. Once the requirements had been captured and the initial concept designs completed it became clear that a simple content management system was required to manage the products. XHTML templates were created in Dreamweaver and then broken down into the most generic areas as to allow easy editing through Contribute content management tool.
By implementing a template driven site through Dreamweaver the client was able to manage key areas of the website. Delivering a cost effective content management tool was key to the clients' requirements and projects success.
From the customer perspective the final website placed more focus on the products with quick access through a drop down menu. The information architecture of the site is shallow to allow for fast and simple navigation reducing users click.
